Jobber – Clothesline From Hell
New York grunge rockers Jobber deliver “Clothesline From Hell,” the latest preview of their debut album Jobber To The Stars, hitting August 22nd via Exploding In Sound Records.
Frontwoman Kate Meizner channels workplace frustration into fuzzy, Queens of the Stone Age-influenced riffs. “I only come here to get paid” becomes the song’s central mantra—a psychological shield against the soul-crushing 9-to-5 grind. The track’s groove and structure borrow from QOTSA’s playbook, with Meizner’s vocals cutting through layers of distorted guitars.
The quartet—Meizner, drummer-vocalist Michael Falcone, guitarist-keyboardist Michael Julius, and bassist Miles Toth—recorded with Justin Pizzoferrato (Dinosaur Jr, Pixies) and Aron Kobayashi Ritch (Momma, Hotline TNT).
